Manager, Membership & Engagement
Role Description
We are seeking a proactive, relationship-focused and member-centric Membership Manager to lead the Society’s membership growth, engagement, retention and operations.
The role will manage the end-to-end membership lifecycle, from acquisition and onboarding to engagement, renewal and retention, while strengthening the value and experience delivered to members. The Membership Manager will work closely with volunteers, committees, industry stakeholders, internal teams and CFA Institute to drive member participation and support the Society’s membership objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Strategy & Growth: Develop and drive strategies to grow, engage and retain members, aligned with the Society’s membership objectives and targets.
- Member Lifecycle & Experience: Oversee the full membership lifecycle, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, recognition, renewals and retention, ensuring a positive member experience.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with members, volunteers, committees, CFA Program candidates, employers, universities, industry partners and CFA Institute.
- Engagement & Communications: Work closely with MarComm and Events teams to drive membership campaigns, communications, member benefits, engagement programmes and key membership events.
- Society Enquiries: Oversee general enquiries received through the Society’s hotline, WhatsApp and other communication channels, ensuring appropriate service standards, timely follow-up and escalation.
- Membership Operations: Oversee membership administration, CRM records and related processes, ensuring data accuracy, operational efficiency and service standards.
- Data, Insights & Reporting: Analyse membership trends, engagement metrics and member feedback, and provide reports and recommendations to Management and the Board to strengthen member value and membership performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in membership, community engagement, relationship management, customer success or association management.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building and communication skills with a professional and member-centric approach.
- Strong organisational, analytical and project management capabilities, with the ability to independently drive multiple initiatives.
- Experience with CRM or membership databases, reporting and digital engagement platforms.
- Experience in a professional association, membership organisation, financial services or professional education environment would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with the CFA Program and CFA Institute ecosystem would be desirable, with flexibility to support key events outside regular office hours.
