JOB PURPOSE

The Manager/Senior Manager, Sustainability Office supports the development and implementation of NHG’s environmental sustainability and ESG initiatives. The role focuses on coordinating sustainability programmes, managing reporting and compliance requirements, and working with NHG institutions and stakeholders to deliver agreed sustainability outcomes in alignment with national directives and organisational priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sustainability Strategy Implementation

  • Support the development and periodic review of NHG’s sustainability strategy
  • Coordinate implementation of approved initiatives across institutions
  • Track progress against milestones and KPIs and prepare updates for management review

Governance & Policy Support

  • Provide secretariat and coordination support to sustainability governance workgroups
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of sustainability policies
  • Monitor compliance and follow up on action items arising from governance platforms

ESG Reporting

  • Coordinate ESG data collection, validation, and consolidation
  • Support materiality assessments and tracking of ESG issues and actions
  • Prepare ESG reports and disclosures in accordance with agreed standards and timelines

Carbon Emissions Management

  • Maintain the Group carbon emissions heatmap and performance dashboards
  • Coordinate data submissions from institutions and support analysis of trends
  • Track progress of carbon reduction initiatives and flag risks or gaps

GreenGov.SG & Regulatory Compliance

  • Act as working‑level liaison with authorities on GreenGov.SG and related matters
  • Coordinate timely submission of reports and case studies
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained for audit and compliance purposes

Engagement & Coordination

  • Support planning and execution of sustainability events, campaigns, and communications
  • Coordinate with institutions and internal stakeholders to promote alignment and participation

Any Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related fields
  • Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG, or related functions
  • Experience supporting organisation‑wide or cross‑functional initiatives
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks, carbon reporting, and Singapore sustainability regulations preferred
  • Healthcare or public sector experience is an advantage
