MANAGER

You will serve as a Manager in the Decision Making & Analysis Branch of NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

You will judge the technical merit of funding proposals, enforcing strict scientific rigor on technical documents, and actively mapping emerging technologies to operational capability.

You will identify facility or personnel issues, conducting formal root-cause analyses within regulatory boundaries, actively collaborating upward when issues persist, and implementing process-streamlining measures to protect subordinate bandwidth.

You will design, implement, and participate in recruitment processes, as well as measure success of employees through performance assessments.

You will partner with peer leaders on large-scale projects, developing joint scientific/technical funding proposals for internal and external sponsors, and navigate support codes (HR, Contracts, Security) to maintain uninterrupted Branch operations.

You will coach employees, utilizing formal development tools like Individual Development Plan (IDP), securing advancement opportunities, and fostering a robust culture of mentorship.

You will discuss issues and provide status to fellow team members, internal management, internal executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

You will effectively convey written communication regarding scientific or engineering findings and principles for the intended audiences.
