Manager – Northern Civil Structures

▪ Set and lead the operational / strategic business planning process in line with organisational objectives, being accountable for the financial and operational success of the section ▪ Develop section based work winning strategies to control productivity and business performance ▪ Build, engage and retain a high performance team with excellence in technical delivery, client service, innovation and quality providing leadership and inspire others to share Beca’s vision and values ▪ Create co-operative, positive team environments to maximise team productivity and deal promptly and effectively with conflict ▪ Ensure the execution of a comprehensive, phased and effective induction program, so that all team members are aligned with the values and direction of the Section ▪ Grow our people through mentoring, targeted capability development ,career planning empowerment and delegation ▪ Model standards and guide performance through professional conduct and feedback with people and project performance gaps identified proactively and corrected ▪ Leverage Beca’s resources/inputs to enhance profitability of both the business, the section and projects ▪ Add value to projects through expert specialist input, drawing on significant experience ▪ Balance client and Beca needs to maximise project success, client relationships and quality ▪ Understand the client’s business and strategic issues in order to ensure successful outcomes and maximise repeat business revenue ▪ Work with the key members of the section to network across industry sectors to grow Beca’s profile and gain business ▪ Possess understanding of relevant markets working with Market Segment Leaders and General Managers to align section to deliver accordingly ▪ Collaborate to develop new ideas/approaches and promote “One Beca” ▪ Lead, motivate, mentor, coach and inspire ▪ Tertiary qualification / post graduate studies / professional body certification / registration ▪ Previous experience in a people management / leadership role ▪ Significant experience in a consulting environment ▪ Commercial acumen ▪ Model and adhere to the Beca values ▪ Act in accordance with industry / professional ethics maintaining professionalism at all time ▪ Contribution and effort is aligned to organisational objectives ▪ Comply with all company HSE systems and procedures relevant to the role, in accordance with local documented HSE responsibilities and accountabilities. No work related injuries, illnesses or adverse environmental outcomes due to incorrect or inadequate application of systems or procedures ▪ Participate in performance development discussions with manager initiating and managing own personal development with all CPD requirements met ▪ Work co-operatively and collaboratively willingly accepting share of workload and helping others when required ▪ Other duties as directed
