Role Overview

As the Manager of Accounting, you serve as both a client relationship lead and a people leader. You’ll oversee all accounting delivery for assigned clients, manage a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, ensure accurate financial reporting, and act as the trusted accounting advisor helping clients make stronger financial and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Accountants and Staff Accountants through monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and consistent adherence to internal accounting policies
• Review and oversee all financial reporting and deliverables
• Partner cross-functionally on cleanup work, process improvement initiatives, and implementations
• Leverage technology to improve internal workflows and elevate client operational efficiency
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior accounting team members

What You Bring

• CPA required
• 7+ years full-cycle accounting experience
• 2+ years leadership / team mentoring experience
• Direct Construction, HVAC, and/or Home Services accounting experience (required)
• Experience with: Gusto, Karbon, Bill.com, Divvy, BigTime, HubDoc, ChargeOver, QuickBooks, Netsuite
• Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
• Strong project management ability and proactive problem-solving mindset
• Collaborative, team-first behavior with a passion for developing others
• Strong Excel / MS Office proficiency
• Tech-forward and eager to adopt new software and tools
