Manager of Banquets, Catering, and Wedding Chapel
Specific Job Functions:
- Lead site inspections and venue walkthroughs for prospective clients, detailing the capabilities of the wedding chapel, banquet spaces and hotel amenities.
- Manage and respond to new catering and wedding chapel business inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Extract client requirements for catering and wedding groups to efficiently finalize and execute catering and wedding contracts.
- Manage event compliance protocols by obtaining client signatures on contracts, operational policies, and event orders while processing associated billing and deposits.
- Facilitate the complete event-detailing process for sales, catering and wedding chapel clients. Verify structural space needs, monitor estimated vs. actual F&B revenue and distribute accurate WEO’s/BEO’s and set up plans to cross-functional hotel departments.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee recognition.
- Lead pre-convention meetings and actively participate in departmental meetings while compiling comprehensive post-convention reports to drive continuous service improvement.
- Demonstrate schedule flexibility to ensure an on-site management presence during key group functions and high-profile events.
- Adhere to established operational protocols and guidelines; remain adaptable to take on auxiliary responsibilities and cross-functional duties as required by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in catering, banquets, wedding chapel and food and beverage management preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs preferred.
- Knowledge of iVvy and Opera preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness and Health Cards are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Treasure Island standards
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
