Position Summary
The Manager of Clinic Services is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring excellent patient care, outstanding customer service, staff engagement, and achievement of operational and financial goals. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can effectively manage people, processes, and clinic performance while supporting the organization's mission.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can build and develop teams, solve problems, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and step in wherever needed to support clinic operations.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Management
- Hire, train, coach, and develop clinic staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Manage employee schedules and staffing needs.
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture.
- Communicate organizational updates and expectations to clinic staff.
Clinic Operations
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficiency and excellence.
- Monitor clinic performance and work toward operational and financial goals.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage inventory, supply ordering, and cost controls.
- Ensure clinic security, cleanliness, and safety.
- Work closely with leadership on budgeting and strategic planning.
Patient Care & Veterinary Support
- Assist with patient admissions and client communication.
- Monitor surgical patients as needed.
- Dispense medications and vaccines.
- Perform veterinary technician duties, including IV blood draws.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for animals and staff.
- Ensure all animals are treated with compassion and respect.
Customer Service
- Resolve client concerns professionally and effectively.
- Promote a positive client experience.
- Support staff in delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with employee scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to pass a DMV check.
Preferred
- Veterinary, animal welfare, or nonprofit experience.
- Veterinary technician skills and experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience managing clinic operations, inventory, and budgets.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable working around animals, animal odors, waste, noise, and potential exposure to contagious conditions.
- Ability to work extended hours when operational needs require.
Work Environment
This position operates in a high-volume veterinary clinic environment and involves regular interaction with animals, staff, clients, and clinic leadership. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, strong decision-making abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
