Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis
You will develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across multiple entities. You will partner with department leaders and finance professionals on budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, growth initiatives, reporting, and business intelligence improvements. You will prepare executive, board, investor relations, and strategic committee materials, provide actionable insights and risk mitigation recommendations, support accounting tasks such as month-end reporting and reconciliation, and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Partner with department leaders and finance professionals to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis against budgets and prior-period forecasts
- Develop financial models for mergers and acquisitions, market expansions, and financing opportunities
- Analyze the impact of business-driver and costing-rate changes on department-level performance
- Improve financial models and business intelligence tools
- Streamline the compilation, analysis, and reporting of monthly financial results
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare presentations for board meetings, senior leadership meetings, and strategic committees
- Present financial reports with actionable insights and risk mitigation recommendations
- Generate materials and analysis for RNS releases and investor presentations
- Support month-end reporting and reconciliation
- Champion continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A
- CPA or CA designation is an asset
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling abilities
- Ad hoc analysis and business insight generation
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of P&L, cash flow, and working capital
- Expert-level Excel knowledge
- Executive presentation construction
- Advanced Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides knowledge
- Professional fluency in English
- French fluency is an asset
