Manager of Training Records & Scheduling

Regulatory training records management and scheduling is a complex and vital function of airline operations that requires an expert knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and airline training programs. The Manager, Training Records and Scheduling will be the focal point for company Pilot and Flight Attendant training records, the management of the electronic Qualification Training Management System (QTMS), and for coordinating with team members and training vendors to maximize training efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Manage and oversee the Pilot and Flight Attendant (Crew) Records Specialists.

  • Design and implement processes and controls that ensure the integrity of the training record processes.

  • Maintain training records in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Manage the QTMS system and monitor interfaces with operations systems.

  • Vigilantly ensure the currency of Pilot and Flight Attendant team member qualifications

  • Regularly provide reports on Pilot and Flight Attendant team member qualifications to company leaders and the Federal Aviation Administration

  • Manage and oversee Pilot and Flight Attendant Scheduling Specialists.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of student, instructor and device schedules for Pilot training and Inflight training.

  • Manage and oversee instructor Open Time and scheduling issues as they arise for Pilot training and Inflight training.

  • Actively communicate with instructors, evaluators, and team members regarding training scheduling for both Pilot and Inflight training.

  • Continuously communicate with Breeze Crew Planning, Inflight and People Team departments and training vendors to ensure efficient team member training scheduling.

  • Build relationships with key internal learning stakeholders and training vendors to work towards enhancing existing agreements, communicating changes, and updating contracts.

  • Represent Breeze at all internal (IAP, IEP) and external (FAA, DoD, IOSA) training records audits.

  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence.

Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of regulatory record keeping experience

  • Five (5) years leading a record keeping team

  • Advanced knowledge of FAR record keeping requirements

  • Experience working with a QTMS

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment

  • Clear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
