Summary
The Outlet Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the PALECEK Outlet, including Sales, Customer Service, Merchandising, Inventory Management, Store Operations, and Team Leadership. As a brand ambassador, you are expected to represent PALECEK's commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and design while creating a welcoming, elevated shopping experience that reflects the company's values and luxury brand standards.
This role partners with the Headquarters office and warehouse, Merchandising, Customer Experience, and Marketing to ensure seamless communication, inventory availability, pricing accuracy, promotional execution, and operational consistency. You will also be responsible for producing sales and operational reports, analyzing business performance, managing outlet promotions and special events, resolving customer concerns with professionalism, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and profitability.
Description
- Drive outlet revenue by developing and executing sales strategies that achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals while maximizing profitability
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by actively engaging customers, understanding their design preferences, providing personalized product recommendations, and building long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Outlet Sales Associate by providing ongoing training, performance feedback, and support while fostering a collaborative, positive, and customer-focused work environment
- Oversee all daily outlet operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, merchandising, pricing, product tagging, visual presentation, and overall showroom readiness to ensure operational excellence
- Maintain accurate inventory records by overseeing inventory counts, receiving merchandise, processing transfers, coordinating floor sample transitions, and partnering with the warehouse to ensure timely replenishment and inventory accuracy
- Monitor sales performance, customer traffic, conversion rates, average transaction value, and other key performance indicators to identify trends, evaluate business performance, and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling showroom that reflects PALECEK's luxury brand standards, ensuring all displays, signage, and merchandise presentations inspire customers and enhance the shopping experience
- Build and cultivate new customer relationships through networking, outreach, follow-up communication, and community engagement while maintaining and growing existing residential, trade, and hospitality client accounts
- Partner closely with Corporate, Merchandising, Customer Experience, Marketing, and the Distribution Center to ensure accurate product information, pricing consistency, promotional execution, inventory availability, and seamless operational support
- Resolve customer concerns, service issues, and product inquiries promptly and professionally, exercising sound judgment to deliver positive resolutions that reinforce customer loyalty and protect the PALECEK brand
- Plan and support outlet promotions, special events, clearance initiatives, and seasonal merchandising changes to drive customer traffic, increase sales, and enhance brand awareness
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and loss prevention practices while maintaining a safe, secure, and productive work environment for employees and customers
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, operational metrics, inventory documentation, and other business records while providing recommendations to leadership for improving sales performance, operational efficiencies, and customer satisfaction
Key Qualifications
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, special events, and occasional extended hours based on business needs. The regular work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Mondays and Sundays as scheduled days off
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive retail management or luxury retail sales experience, preferably within the furniture, home furnishings, interior design, or lifestyle industry
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales goals while delivering an exceptional, relationship-driven customer experience that fosters repeat business and long-term client loyalty
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, pricing, showroom presentation, and day-to-day business operations
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to recruit, coach, motivate, and develop team members while cultivating a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while effectively prioritizing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, designers, vendors, and internal business partners
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions, resolve customer concerns professionally, and identify opportunities for operational and sales improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experienced using retail point-of-sale (POS), order management, inventory management, and CRM systems. Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite is a plus
- Passion for luxury furnishings, interior design, and home décor, with the ability to confidently communicate product features, craftsmanship, materials, and design concepts to customers
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to representing the PALECEK brand through exceptional service, operational excellence, and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in an outlet environment with frequent interaction with customers, employees, vendors, and delivery personnel
- The work environment includes moderate noise levels typical of an outlet store and occasional movement of furniture and merchandise
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the outlet for extended periods while assisting customers, supervising operations, merchandising displays, and monitoring the sales floor
- Frequently required to sit, use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment to complete administrative tasks, sales reporting, inventory management, scheduling, and customer communications
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb ladders or step stools, and move throughout the outlet to merchandise products, adjust displays, perform inventory counts, and maintain showroom presentation
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, or reposition furniture, décor, and other merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Assistance or appropriate equipment should be utilized when moving heavier items
