Manager, Payload and Terminals Lab, Leo Antennas and CT
Posted Updated
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
As Manager of the Payload and Terminals Lab team, you will build and lead a team of hardware and test experts who prototype and validate spaceborne antennas and customer terminals across Research and Development (R&D) and production phases.
You will direct the following capabilities:
- Over-the-air (OTA) test infrastructure — Design and build anechoic chambers and near-field scanners to support antenna characterization and validation.
- Hardware (HW) prototyping capability — Stand up and maintain prototyping equipment, software (SW) tools, rework stations, and inspection cameras to enable rapid design iteration.
- HW test benches — Configure and operate Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Signal Analyzers for RF performance testing.
- R&D prototype build and test — Build functional prototypes and execute test campaigns that directly support R&D development efforts.
- Spaceborne payload and customer terminal verification — Lead test and verification activities at each stage of the product lifecycle; generate test reports and deliver analysis that informs development and production decisions.
- Antenna test and calibration hardware — Design and develop custom hardware solutions that enable antenna test and calibration at scale.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
