Manager, People Business Partner (Tech & Product)

We are seeking an ambitious, strategic Manager, People Business Partner (Tech & Product) to lead our Hong Kong-based functional People Business Partner team. In this high-visibility role, you will lead a team, partner directly with senior leadership, and build the organizational infrastructure needed to scale our engineering, product, data and overall functional organizations in Lalamove’s functional head office.
What you will do:
People Leadership & Management

Lead, mentor, and elevate a team of People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Specialists, driving accountability, high performance, and continuous professional growth.

Allocate team resources effectively to support business priorities across Tech, Product, and functional department initiatives.

Serve as the trusted strategic advisor senior team, aligning people strategies directly

Lead organizational design, workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning to ensure agile and high-performing tech structures.

Diagnose complex organizational challenges using data-driven insights, presenting actionable solutions regarding staff cost trends, headcount productivity, and employee retention to executive leadership.

Oversee the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for specialized Tech, Product, Data and functional departments

Build, optimize, and scale robust technical hiring pipelines, employer branding initiatives, and candidate funnel metrics to consistently attract top-tier global talent.

Optimize onboarding frameworks to accelerate time-to-productivity for new hires

Work with wider People team on:

Global people projects, including policy formulation, HR workflow automation, compensation benchmarking, and cross-border compliance.

Audit and optimize people practices across teams, ensuring operational excellence, high compliance, and scalable infrastructure.

What you will need:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in a team management or leadership role.

Tech Sector Track Record: Proven track record of building, scaling, and structuring high-growth Tech & Product organizations within a hyper-growth tech company, scale-up, or multinational enterprise.

Executive Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and align senior executives and technical leaders.

Talent Strategy Expertise: In-depth mastery of modern tech recruitment strategies, international sourcing channels, and candidate experience optimization.

Analytical & Operational Mastery: Strong analytical mindset to translate complex HR metrics into strategic business insights; deep expertise in regional labor compliance, HR policies, and organizational design frameworks.
