Manager, Platform Development

Our client is a large technology corporation established by the Hong Kong Government, they are currently seeking a Manager, Platform Development to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Research, identify and test the latest applications and tools that are commonly used in R&D activities within tech companies into the Platform, especially for machine learning, data processing, big data analytics, and various applications in particular industry vertical (e.g. FinTech, BioTech, Smart City, etc.)
• Define and implement the latest technology stack for platform on application layer, including development tools, compute resource and storage, data sharing, security and encryption, etc.
• Ensure applications and tools on Platform are highly usable, scalable and sustainable
• Collect user feedback and provide continuous enhancement on its functionality, efficiency, and performance
• Drive development and implementation of the Platform by working closely with different stakeholders such as team members in Platform, internal IT team, technical vendors, service partners, consultants
• Provide support in varies I&T related activities on Platform, included but not limited to competition, talents training and technology advisory
• Ensure that project deliverables (e.g. documentation, codebase, testing, etc.) are of high quality
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as appropriate

Requirements:

• Degree or above preferably in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related subject
• Minimum 8 years' relevant working experience in related I&T industry
• Good knowledge in latest machine learning development framework and tools, such as tensorflow, pytorch, jupyter notebook and data processing tools
• Knowledge in AI (machine learning), Data (data base management, data structure, data standardization) and API design standard (OpenAPI Specification 3.0, swagger)
• Experience in using docker and python programming language
• Experience in managing software vendor and familiar with agile methodology would be an advantage
• Proven track record in managing system development within sizable corporations / MNCs is preferred
• Able to work independently, manage multi-task and work under pressure
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
