Job Description
Responsible for achieving API production targets while ensuring compliance, safety, quality, cost control, manpower management, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Production Operations
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily API manufacturing activities.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and monthly output targets.
- Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
- Monitor batch manufacturing activities and ensure compliance with approved BMR/BPR.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data Integrity, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits by regulatory agencies, customers, and corporate teams.
- Investigate deviations, OOS, incidents, and implement CAPA.
- Ensure change controls and SOP compliance.
Safety & Environment
- Promote a strong safety culture across production areas.
- Ensure compliance with process safety, industrial safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor hazardous chemical handling and waste management practices.
People Management
- Lead and develop production supervisors, officers, and operators.
- Conduct training and competency assessments.
- Drive employee engagement and performance management.
Work Experience
15-18 years of experience in API pharma manufacturing
Education
Masters in Chemistry or Chemistry
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
