MANAGER, PROJECT (MEP)
- Location: Woodlands
- Role requires flexibility to support project schedules, including extended hours and shift work where operationally required.
Job Description:
- Overall responsible for the planning, execution, coordination and completion of MEP works for semiconductor wafer fabrication and high-spec cleanroom construction projects.
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary MEP teams covering HVAC, exhaust, process cooling water (PCW), chilled water, CDA, vacuum, gas, fire protection and other utility systems.
- Accountable for project cost, schedule, quality, safety performance and contractual compliance.
- Act as primary point of contact with client, consultants and key stakeholders on all MEP matters.
- Lead project planning including budget control, manpower planning, procurement strategy, and construction sequencing.
- Oversee design coordination and ensure timely issuance of Design Review (DR), IFC drawings and shop drawing approvals.
- Drive BIM coordination and ensure clash-free integrated services prior to construction.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedule and implement recovery plans where required.
- Lead subcontractor management including tender evaluation, award recommendation, performance monitoring and variation negotiation.
- Review and manage contractual matters including VO, claims, EOT submissions and commercial risk assessment.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom ISO requirements, regulatory standards, local authority requirements and client specifications.
- Oversee installation, testing & commissioning (T&C), system integration and final client handover.
- Lead and participate in coordination meetings, technical workshops and progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality control standards and company governance.
- Prepare management reports and present project status to senior management and client representatives.
- Lead project close-out including authority approvals, as-built documentation and O&M submission.
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, with substantial experience in semiconductor or cleanroom projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale industrial or wafer fabrication construction projects with full project lifecycle responsibility.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, process utilities, fire protection and cleanroom systems.
- Familiar with Singapore regulatory requirements, authority coordination and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making capability.
- Proficiency in BIM coordination and engineering software tools.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, suppliers and project counterparts.
- Willingness to work extended hours or shift arrangements where reasonably required to meet project delivery timelines.
