Manager - Revenue Accounting - Banking/Financial Services

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our finance leadership team in Hyderabad. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end revenue lifecycle, ensuring that our financial reporting remains accurate, compliant, and reflective of our global business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A, to navigate complex contract structures and ensure seamless revenue recognition. By maintaining the integrity of our general ledger and financial statements, you will provide the executive leadership team with the actionable insights necessary to drive strategic growth and maintain investor confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the monthly revenue close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for stakeholders.

- Apply ASC 606 and IFRS 15 standards to complex customer contracts, ensuring revenue is recognized in strict alignment with US GAAP requirements.

- Manage the general ledger accounting for revenue-related accounts, ensuring all journal entries are precise and fully reconciled.

- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses to identify trends and mitigate financial risks.

- Collaborate with the sales and legal departments during the contract review process to provide accounting guidance that optimizes revenue recognition outcomes.

- Lead the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules for internal audits and external regulatory reviews.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in corporate accounting, specifically regarding the nuances of revenue recognition under US GAAP and IFRS 15.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities in managing general ledger functions and complex balance sheet reconciliations.

- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders, fostering transparency and cross-departmental alignment.

- Possess a professional accounting qualification - CA with 5 - 12 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting roles.

- Adapt seamlessly to a hybrid work environment in Hyderabad, maintaining high productivity and proactive communication within a distributed team.

- Display a high degree of professional skepticism and attention to detail when reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation.
