## Job Summary
The Rewards & Talent Management Specialist is a pivotal member of the HR function, responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization's total rewards framework and talent management initiatives. This dual-focus role requires both analytical precision and a human-centric approach to attract, retain, and motivate talent.
## Responsibilities
### Rewards Responsibilities:
- **Compensation Management:**
- Conduct regular benchmarking of compensation structures using market surveys and industry data (Mercer, Aon, Willis Towers Watson).
- Support the annual merit review and salary revision process, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Analyze pay bands and recommend adjustments aligned with business strategy and budget constraints.
- Administer and audit payroll inputs in coordination with the payroll team, ensuring zero-error processing.
- Prepare compensation reports for leadership including pay gap analysis.
- **Total Rewards Strategy & Communication:**
- Support the development and communication of the organization's total rewards philosophy and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
- Create rewards statements and compensation calculators to improve transparency and employee understanding of their total package.
- Partner with Finance to build annual rewards budgets, forecasts, and cost modelling.
- Design targeted rewards interventions for critical talent segments, high performers, and hard-to-fill roles.
- **Variable Pay & Incentive Programs:**
- Administer short-term and long-term incentive plans (STI, LTI, ESOPs) including eligibility, calculation, and payout processing.
- Track KPI/OKR performance linkage to variable compensation and ensure timely communication of outcomes to stakeholders.
- Partner with business heads to design role-specific incentive structures.
- Ensure compliance of all variable pay programs with statutory requirements and internal audit standards.
### Talent Management Responsibilities:
- **Performance Management:**
- Support the design and execution of the annual performance appraisal cycle - goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end calibration.
- Train managers and employees on performance tools, rating scales, and continuous feedback best practices.
- Maintain performance data integrity in HRIS and generate analytics for identifying high performers and underperformers.
- Facilitate performance improvement plans (PIPs) in collaboration with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and line managers.
- **Succession Planning & Career Pathing:**
- Support the identification and development of a succession pipeline for critical and key roles across functions.
- Maintain talent grid data and facilitate 9-box reviews in partnership with senior HR leadership.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development (L&D) and business leaders to create development plans for high-potential employees (HiPos).
- Design career lattice frameworks that enable lateral and vertical movement within the organization.
- Own and drive all early career programs (Management Trainees, Graduate Engineers Trainees, etc.).
## Qualifications
- **Educational Qualifications:**
- MBA / PGDM with HR specialization.
- **Experience:**
- 4-7 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on Compensation & Benefits and/or Total Rewards.
- Demonstrable exposure to talent management processes: performance management, succession planning.
- Experience in working with compensation benchmarking tools.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Data analytics and rewards reporting (Power BI, Tableau are a plus).
- Compensation benchmarking and job evaluation methodologies.
- Knowledge of labor laws: ESIC, Gratuity, Income Tax.
- Benefits plan design and vendor management.
- Payroll software and statutory compliance knowledge.
