Description

About the role:
To achieve business objectives, identify, onboard, retain, and, when necessary, phase out strategic suppliers, while maximizing Wacom’s cost competitiveness and optimizing supplier relationships through the negotiation and execution of formal contracts.
In addition, support business opportunities through rapid and timely cost evaluations, and collaborate with the supply chain management team to establish reliable product supply to customers by proactively analyzing and mitigating supply risks.

Key responsibilities:

1. New Supplier Development
For key parts and their components procured by Wacom (the specific categories and suppliers to be handled will be determined separately), research and evaluate potential suppliers, identify those suitable as Wacom business partners, narrow the candidates down to two to three suppliers, and present recommendations internally. Facilitate internal discussions and drive the process toward a final decision.

2. Contracting with New Suppliers
Execute contracts with new suppliers, including the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions (POTC) and the Master Purchase Agreement (MPA).

3. Strengthening and Improving Relationships with Existing Suppliers
Regularly evaluate suppliers and maintain and further develop positive supplier relationships in order to sustain and enhance conditions favorable to Wacom.

4. Cost Estimation
Capture customer opportunity information provided by Sales in real time and deliver timely cost proposals.
Perform cost calculations promptly in accordance with designated formats and established rules.

5. Procurement and Supply Risk Management
Continuously monitor and proactively manage supply risks, and in the event of issues, collaborate with relevant departments to lead swift recovery of supply.
