Role Overview

As a Security Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the security function at assigned Henry Ford Health locations. You will coordinate and direct activities to ensure a safe and secure hospital environment, manage the department budget, and serve as a liaison to external agencies. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service.

General Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the security function at assigned Henry Ford Health locations. Coordinates and directs activities of all department personnel engaged in providing a safe and secure hospital environment. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the department budget, policies, procedures, and goals. Serves as a technical resource to staff members and a liaison to outside law enforcement/security, safety, and public service agencies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Associate Degree in Security Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field and 3 years progressive supervisory or management experience in healthcare security, law enforcement, military or related public safety field

OR

• 3 to 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in healthcare security, law enforcement, military, or related public safety field, with demonstrated success leading teams, improving operational performance, implementing security initiatives, and achieving measurable results in safety, customer service, regulatory compliance, and employee development in hospital security experience.
