Manager Security Technology and Clinical Integration

The Manager, Security Technology provides strategic leadership for the organization's security technology function, overseeing the planning, implementation, optimization, and governance of security systems across both clinical and non-clinical environments. Serving as a key liaison among Security, Medical Groups, Clinical Leadership, Information Technology, and operational stakeholders, this role ensures security technology solutions align with organizational priorities and support a safe, efficient care environment. Cultivates strong partnerships with medical groups to ensure solutions are responsive to frontline needs, while driving alignment of security technologies to enhance the safety of staff, patients, and visitors, and support efficient, uninterrupted care delivery.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides management and oversight of the Security Technology team; including performance management, workload prioritization, and professional development.
  • Provides oversight of enterprise security technologies, including access control and credentialing platforms, video management (CCTV), visitor management and screening solutions, duress and staff safety systems, and emerging security innovations.
  • Ensures systems are operationally reliable, compliant with organizational standards, and aligned with enterprise risk priorities.
  • Develops and maintains technology roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and upgrade strategies.
  • Act as the primary Security Liaison partner to Medical Groups and Ambulatory Practices.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nursing leaders, practice administrators, and operations teams to understand workflows and risks.
  • Partners with IT, Facilities, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to ensure proper governance and data protection.
  • Develops policies, procedures, and guidelines related to security technology use and access.
  • Leads and oversees security technology projects from concept through implementation.
  • Manages vendor relationships, contracts, and performance.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Provides executive level updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Provides technical leadership during security incidents, investigations, and system outages.
  • Utilizes data and system analytics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drives continuous improvement in system utilization, coverage, and effectiveness
  • Participates in hiring, training, evaluation and termination of assigned staff according to hospital policies and procedures.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience
  • PMP or similar
  • Experience in a healthcare, hospital, or academic medical center environment
  • Prior experience partnering with physician groups or clinical operations
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and compliance considerations in healthcare security

Required Criteria:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in security technology, physical security systems, or healthcare security operations
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and cross functional stakeholders R
  • Strong understanding of access control, video surveillance, and safety technologies
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders
