About Business Leaders Group

The Business Leaders Group (BLG) drive sBusiness China’s engagement with Prominent Business Leaders (PBLs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Business Leaders within Business China’s network across Singapore and China.

BLG oversees the annual flagship programme, Advanced Leaders Programme (ALP), an apex programme for senior business executives, next generation of business leaders and senior public officers. In addition, BLG leads Business China’s major fundraising initiatives, including the annual Business China Fundraising Golf Tournament and Gala Dinner, which brings together key donors, corporate partners, and distinguished leaders from both Singapore and China.

This role brings opportunities to engage with an exceptional network of leaders across various industries. You will be involved in the planning and execution of high-level stakeholder engagement initiatives, leadership programmes, and key fundraising efforts that support
Business China’s mission and long-term development.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead strategic funding and grant development efforts to support BC and BLG’s programmes and institutional priorities, including identifying funding opportunities, leading grant proposal development, coordinating cross-functional submissions, engaging funding stakeholders, and overseeing grant reporting and compliance requirements.

2. Drive Business China’s fund raising and donor engagement initiatives, including donor cultivation, sponsorship development, and stewardship efforts for major fundraising platforms and events.

3. Develop and facilitate engagement strategies to strengthen Business China’s relation with the Singapore and Chinese business community, while facilitating meaningful networks, partnerships, and collaborations.

4. Support BLG’s stakeholder engagement efforts in identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with PBLs and KOLs with significant economic interests in both Singapore and China.

5. Lead the planning and execution of BLG’s major programmes and engagement platforms, including the ALP, ALP Alumni initiatives, leadership dialogues, networking sessions, and high-level events.

6. Support management reporting, partnership development, and organisational planning efforts related to BLG’s strategic priorities and programmes.

7. Mentor junior team members and provide leadership across project teams where required.

8. Any other duties or responsibilities assigned to support Business China’s organisational and strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Preferably bilingual in both English and Mandarin

2. Any Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Degree

3. Relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, partnership management, fundraising, leadership programme management, public affairs, strategic communications, or related fields.

4. Proven ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders, including corporate leaders, donors, public sector representatives, and external partners.

5. Strong interest in China’s development, Singapore-China relations, and regional economic and business trends.

6. Experience in fundraising, donor management, corporate partnerships, strategic relationship management, or engagement with China stakeholders will be advantageous but it is a not a must.

7. Strong project management, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, support high-level engagements, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

8. Resourceful, adaptable, and able to work independently with strong initiative.

9. Willingness to travel occasionally and support evening or weekend events where required.
