Title: Membership Manager
Reports to: Head of Department / Executive Director
Objective: Manages IES Membership Registration, Membership activities, and Membership Services Programmes
Special Relationship:

Key Responsibilities are:
1. Membership Administration
• Oversee and manage IES Membership and Student Members Registration processes.
2. Activity Organization
• Plan and organize IES Membership Activities, focusing on outreach, promotion, and member services.
3. Partnership Development
• Establish and cultivate partnerships with engineering organizations, relevant agencies, institutions of higher learning (IHLs), and schools.
4. Member Needs Assessment
• Develop and implement processes to regularly identify and assess member needs.
5. Feedback Management
• Create and manage systems for collecting member feedback on programs and services to enhance member satisfaction.
6. Growth Initiatives
• Analyze membership data and trends to forecast growth opportunities and strategize initiatives aimed at increasing membership numbers and retention.
• Organize booths, roadshows, and other promotional events to actively promote membership and engage potential members.
7. Online Shop Management and Merchandise Development
• Develop and manage an online shop for IES merchandise, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for members and promoting relevant products.
• Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of IES merchandise that aligns with brand values and member interests.
8. Budget Management
• Manage budgets for IES Membership Operations, events, activities, and the online shop, ensuring financial sustainability.
9. Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff within the Membership Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
10. KPI Leadership and Support Tactical Goals
• Guide and motivate the Membership Executive to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) effectively.
• Assist in the development and execution of tactical goals and deliverables aligned with departmental objectives.
11. Reporting
• Compile and present detailed monthly reports on membership activities, achievements, and areas for improvement.
12. Committee Management
• Manage and support various Membership Committees, including the College of Fellows (CoF), Young Engineers Committee (YEC), Women in Science and Research (WiSER), and IES-INCA.
13. Student Engagement
• Effectively communicate with and engage all Student Chapters to promote IES and facilitate the transition of student memberships to full members.
14. Committee Budget Development
• Develop and manage budgets for committees, ensuring alignment with overall membership strategies.
15. Data Analysis
• Analyze data, facts, and figures to derive meaningful insights on initiatives and propose actionable changes to enhance effectiveness.
16. Ad Hoc Duties
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support the overall mission of IES.
Required Competencies / Skills :
• Educational Background: An acceptable degree in a relevant field.
• Experience: At least 8 years of management experience, preferably in a trade organization / association or non-profit sector.
• Communication Skills: Able to communicate with senior leaders. Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to write effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing issues, formulating action plans, and solving problems within constraints.
• Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
