Manager / Senior Manager – Operating Model & Organisation Design

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Manager to join a high-profile operating model engagement for a large European consumer-facing organisation.

This is a senior, hands-on consulting role focused on defining how the organisation should operate across Group, country and business unit levels - with particular emphasis on accountabilities, decision rights, governance and ways of working.

The role

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to assess the current operating model, identify structural and governance challenges, and help shape a practical target model.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Group vs. local / business unit accountabilities
• Decision rights and ownership
• Governance structures and forums
• Roles and responsibilities
• Ways of working across central and local teams
• Operating model design and implementation
• Stakeholder alignment and senior-level facilitation

You will be expected to independently drive workstreams, structure ambiguous problems and turn complex organisational challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.

What we are looking for

• 8–10+ years of experience, ideally within consulting or a consulting-led transformation environment
• Strong track record in Target Operating Model, Organisation Design or Operating Model Transformation
• Experience defining accountabilities, decision rights, governance and central vs. local operating models
• Strong senior stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Experience within Retail, FMCG, Consumer or another large customer-facing organisation is highly desirable
• Experience working across international / multi-country organisations
• UK-based and able to work on-site in London 1–2 days per week
• Willingness to travel across Europe where required

Engagement

• Contract / B2B
• Initial duration: 8 weeks
• Strong potential for extension into the New Year
• Preferred start: ASAP / next week
• Up to two weeks' notice can be considered for the right candidate
• London hybrid: typically 1–2 days per week on-site
• Some European travel may be required

This would suit a strong consulting professional who is comfortable operating at senior level and can quickly bring structure, clarity and momentum to a complex organisation design and operating model programme.
