Key Tasks Responsibilities: Deliver the requirements described in BWO’s HSSE policies, standards and management system across the tender, FEED / pre-FEED and project execution phases within the department’s scope Act as the department’s HSE focal point for the review of client tender documents (ITT / RFP, contract HSE exhibits and client HSE specifications), ensuring client requirements are fully understood, gaps are identified and BWO’s HSE offering is compliant, competitive and deliverable Act as HSE Department Manager towards the client for projects in FEED / pre-FEED execution, representing BWO in client HSE interfaces, reviews, audits and steering meetings Monitor and ensure compliance with BWO standards, regulatory and contractual HSE requirements across the department’s portfolio of tenders and projects Ensure positive HSE performance by setting clear expectations, monitoring progress, and addressing gaps and deficiencies Provide assurance that HSE risks are identified and mitigated at the tender, FEED and execution stages, and that appropriate risk acceptance criteria are met before commitments are made to clients Ensure robust and timely resolution of HSE non-compliance and violations Lead, manage and develop the department’s HSE resources, and coordinate the deployment of HSE personnel to tenders and projects Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or HSEQ related major Significant relevant experience with pertinent credentials / certifications may replace formal education Manager: ideally 15 years of relevant experience in the offshore Oil Gas industry, or closely related industry Senior Manager: ideally 20 years of relevant experience in the offshore Oil Gas industry, including previous experience leading an HSE department or function Previous experience working in a similar role Experience in providing HSE support to tenders / bids, including the review of client tender documents and preparation of HSE tender deliverables Experience in FEED / pre-FEED and EPC execution of FPSO or offshore facilities, including HSE-in-design and interfacing with clients and regulators Previous experience working in a multinational environment is desirable Skills: Team player with the ability to lead Must possess excellent conceptual thinking skills and must be able to work independently, applying a structured and systematic approach Must be able to demonstrate a pragmatic and delivery orientated approach Excellent managerial skills with a high focus on influencing stakeholders, including clients and senior management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to represent BWO credibly in client-facing forums Commercially aware, with the ability to balance HSE requirements against tender competitiveness and project deliverability Flexibility, honesty and reliability are considered important factors Ability to deliver in a high pressure, fast pace tender and project environment Ability to deliver high quality work on time Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment Experience of tendering and project delivery in the offshore oil gas environment In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 ISO 45001, departmental function, terminology and interrelationships Good understanding of contract HSE requirements, tender processes and the preparation of HSE tender deliverables Good understanding of technical safety / HSE-in-design processes (HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID, QRA, safety case) and their application during FEED Extensive knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies, international rules and regulations, and the offshore regulatory regimes in the regions where BWO operates Broad knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, HSSE, Environmental requirements with specialism in at least one area NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification are desirable Fluent in English (oral and written) Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion BW Offshore is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all.
