Summary
People-manager role at SITA in Riyadh leading a mixed team (FTEs, contractors, offshore) that develops, maintains, and supports enterprise-scale, mission-critical software. Day-to-day centers on Java application development, CoolGen, SQL/database and API/integration work, plus SDLC/Agile delivery, releases, and incident resolution.
Manages a team of resources - FTEs Contractors Offshore - that develops implements maintains and supports software products and applications using appropriate processes methodologies and technologies in compliance with SITA s policies and procedures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development maintenance and support of enterprise-scale software applications integration services and business-critical systems Manage the design enhancement and delivery of software solutions utilizing Java CoolGen and related technologies ensuring high levels of quality security performance and reliability Oversee software releases system enhancements defect resolution and reporting capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions Drive the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions to support operational excellence Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle including planning resource allocation estimation implementation testing deployment and post-production support Promote the adoption of best practices development standards and process improvements to enhance delivery effectiveness and system maintainability Work closely with architecture infrastructure operations and project teams to support technology transformation initiatives and ensure software solutions continue to meet evolving business and customer needs
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
5 years experience in a Software Engineering environment
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong software development and maintenance experience in enterprise-scale mission-critical environments Proven expertise in Java application development and support with knowledge of modern software development principles and best practices Experience with CoolGen development and maintenance is highly desirable Strong understanding of system integration concepts APIs web services and distributed application architectures Experience in troubleshooting root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical and production issues Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle SDLC Agile methodologies change management and quality assurance practices Proficiency in SQL and database technologies including data analysis and reporting solutions Ability to design develop maintain and optimize software applications interfaces and reporting capabilities Strong planning prioritization and resource management skills with the ability to balance multiple initiatives and operational demands Excellent stakeholder management communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering reliable scalable and maintainable solutions Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting critical business operations and evolving customer requirements Fluent in English and Arabic both written and verbal
