The Position

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Empower and develop the software development team within the Agile framework, coaching and mentoring team members, encouraging professional growth, and promoting self-organization.
  • Align engineering with business goals by managing competence assessments, defining strategies to address gaps, setting goals, evaluating performance, attracting new talent, and coordinating training.
  • Coordinate all aspects of team delivery within budget, schedule, and quality guidelines. Provide effort estimations and collaborate with product owners and project managers to prioritize resources effectively, ensuring high-quality output and accountability for deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the SQA Manager and Software Test Architect to identify key areas for test automation and coordinate the implementation of the test strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize processes, and improve engineering capabilities.
  • Foster cooperation with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive innovation and remain at the forefront of software engineering advancements.
  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and contractor agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and IMS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is required.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in software engineering.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • High learning agility and understanding of complex business and products.

  • Proven leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to support business objectives.
  • Team-focused, with solid strategic, planning, and organizational skills.
