Were looking for an accomplished Manager of Software Development to lead a high-performing team in our Commissions, the mission-critical platform that powers compensation for all selling channels across the company, and Timekeeping & Scheduling (UKG Dimensions) domain.
In this role, youll provide strategic leadership, delivery oversight, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful execution of initiatives across backend database applications as well as Java, Varicent, SAP, and UKG vendor platforms. Job Responsibilities:
- Direct the delivery of multiple software development initiatives within the Commissions and UKG platforms.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and other business stakeholders to align solutions with organizational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and context to backend teams to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Manage priorities and project delivery using Agile Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and vendor partners to achieve delivery timelines and quality targets.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in software development (backend emphasis preferred).
- 7+ years in a lead or supervisory role overseeing engineering teams.
- Proven background in telecom or commissions systems.
- Expertise in enterprise platforms and backend systems.
- Demonstrated success managing delivery across both in-house and vendor teams.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in fast-paced settings.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, AZURE, RDS).
- Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot application ecosystems.
- Background in integrating data from APIs and enterprise services.
- Experience working with a timekeeping and scheduling system.

What Youll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers delivering solutions for Commissions and UKG platforms.
- Collaborate with leadership, product managers, and technical teams to align engineering work with business strategies.
- Define technical roadmap and prioritize engineering backlog to meet organizational goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable platform solutions.
- Drive engineers through the use of best practices, code quality standards, and agile ways of working.
- Oversee team performance, mentoring, and professional development.
- Drive and support other duties and projects as needed.
What Youll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, or related field, plus relevant years of experience in a related technical discipline.
