With each opportunity, we take a collaborative approach to address challenges and provide unique solutions.

Position Summary:

As a Manager of Software Quality Engineering, you will serve as a strategic and technical leader for our holistic automated and functional testing ecosystems. You will manage a high-performing QE organization to drive a culture of high engineering maturity, continuous integration, and rapid deployment. You will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of End-to-End (E2E) automation for UI and API layers. Hands-on framework development experience is a MUST for this role. You will manage technical resources, spearhead "Shift Left" testing practices, and ensure our software solutions meet elite technical and compliance standards before release. This role requires a hybrid of elite software development skills in QE, a deep understanding of core business operations, and a strategic engineering leadership mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation & AI Tooling Integration: Design, lead, and build modular, maintainable, and scalable E2E automation frameworks from scratch for complex UI (e.g., Playwright, Selenium) and API layers (e.g., REST Assured, Postman).
  • AI Innovation: Lead the adoption of AI-driven capabilities such as self-healing test scripts, AI-generated test cases using Large Language Models (LLMs like OpenAI and Claude), and intelligent defect prediction.
  • DevOps Integration: Drive DevOps adoption by integrating functional, regression, performance, and E2E automation scripts directly into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Strategy & Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, product owners, and technical leaders to define technical test strategies, align timelines, and eliminate delivery bottlenecks.
  • Mentorship & Team Leadership: Provide deep technical guidance, manage workloads, and conduct code reviews to elevate the team’s code quality.
  • QE Upskilling: Organize continuous learning paths to successfully transition manual and functional QA engineers into highly capable, automation-focused Quality Engineers.
  • Data & Compliance: Architect comprehensive test data management strategies that securely mask and manage sensitive data (PHI/PII) while maintaining strict regulatory compliance (HIPAA, SOX).
  • Defect Management & Quality Gates: Proactively monitor test execution, analyze defect trends to identify systematic code issues, escalate delivery risks, and enforce strict automated quality gates.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical engineering experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive Software Quality Engineering experience, with proven experience managing technical QE teams and driving automated testing initiatives.
  • Industry Background: Background in the insurance industry (specifically TPA, Life, and LTC operations, including policy lifecycle and claims adjudication) or the finance industry is highly preferred.
  • Preferred Bonus Experience

    • UAT Leadership Plus: Experience leading, managing, or coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) workflows and aligning engineering outputs with non-technical business testers is a strong plus.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

  • Framework Mastery: Expert hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch (Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Design Patterns: Complete mastery of test automation foundations, including Page Object Model (POM) and Page Component Object Model (PCOM), for robust script maintenance.
  • API Testing: Expert engineering experience with API testing and automation tools (Postman, REST Assured, SOAPUI).
  • CI/CD & Cloud: Strong experience embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native testing environments (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • GenAI Testing: Working knowledge of LLMs and experience utilizing Generative AI or Agentic AI testing frameworks to optimize test maintenance and execution efficiency.
  • Containerization: Functional experience with DevOps containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Tooling: Proficiency in modern test management suites (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail) within Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Domain Knowledge: Core understanding of security testing principles and compliance frameworks within complex, highly regulated business ecosystems.
