The appointee will report to the Head (Sports Development) with primary responsibilities in the provision of instruction and administrative support in services relating to sports and physical education for students. Duties include: planning and delivering the fitness, sports skills, personal enrichment and wellness classes for students; leading a small team of colleagues to design and develop student development programs including sports, personal enrichment and wellness events; working with sports leaders to serve as advisor to student clubs in promoting sports participation; coaching sports teams and provide professional assistance to elite student athletes; assisting in sports facilities management and other relevant duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a recognized degree in physical education, sports or related studies, preferably a higher degree and at least 7 years post-qualification experience in teaching, coaching and/or organizing sports activities in a university or education setting. Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills with good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua; be outgoing with a positive attitude; be able to deal effectively with people at different levels with diverse background. The incumbent is expected to have good network with National Sports Associations. He/she would have to work independently and be an energetic, responsive and good team player with keen interest in working with students. Working outside normal office hours will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
