Manager / Sr. Manager - Procurement
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals and budgets.
- Establish robust procurement policies, SOPs, and governance mechanisms to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Forecast procurement needs in coordination with department heads (Broadcast, IT, Engineering, Digital, Admin, etc.).
Vendor & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery benchmarks.
- Negotiate long-term contracts, rate agreements, and service-level terms to maximise value.
- Build strong vendor relationships and monitor performance through defined KPIs.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end procurement lifecycle — requisition, evaluation, negotiation, purchase order, and delivery.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely replenishment to avoid operational disruptions.
- Leverage automation and ERP systems for procurement efficiency and data accuracy.
Financial & Cost Management
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and monitor procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial discipline.
- Analyse market trends and pricing to support informed purchasing decisions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team for enhanced performance and capability building.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Admin, IT, and Technical departments.
- Promote a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Key Competencies & Skills
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven track record of strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement analytics, and MS Office tools.
- Ability to handle multi-category procurement (broadcast equipment, IT,
infrastructure, services, etc.).
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Commerce/Management. MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
- Experience: 10–18 years of experience in Procurement & Supply Chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Preference: Media & Entertainment, Broadcast, Telecom, or Large-Scale Corporate Setups.
