Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Community Impact

At the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA), we meet our neighbors where they are delivering vital nourishment through Meals on Wheels, compassionate hospice and palliative care, and essential community health services. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Community Impact to expand community involvement and philanthropic support across all VNA mission priorities.

For nearly 100 years, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) has been a trusted pioneer in hospice care, helping our neighbors age with dignity and independence. Our mission-driven work spans 16 counties across North Texas—including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Kaufman, and Tarrant to rural communities in Fannin and Navarro—ensuring no one faces life's transitions alone. As a non-profit, we prioritize people over profits, treating every patient like family and maintaining a gold standard of clinical excellence. Beyond hospice, our community roots run deep through programs like Meals on Wheels.

In this role, you will connect corporations, faith communities, civic groups, and foundations with customized engagement opportunities—ranging from group volunteerism and corporate sponsorships to philanthropic investments and strategic advocacy.

Job Summary

Working side-by-side with primary care teams, doctors, and social service agencies, you’ll meet clients where they live and work—coaching them in managing chronic conditions, connecting them to vital resources, and empowering them to take charge of their well-being.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Identify, solicit, and steward corporate, civic, faith-based, and community partners, developing tailored agreements that blend volunteerism, employee engagement, philanthropy, and sponsorship.

• Expand Corporate & Group Engagement: Grow corporate programs like Drive Your Brand and Days of Caring, turning one-time volunteers into sustained advocates, donors, and organizational partners.

• Drive Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit recurring individual and group volunteers to meet operational route needs for Meals on Wheels, as well as volunteer initiatives supporting hospice, palliative care, and community health.

• Generate Sponsorship Revenue: Manage a prospect pipeline and create sponsorship packages supporting VNA programs, capital projects, community events, and innovation initiatives to meet annual engagement and revenue goals.

• Partner Stewardship & Tracking: Deliver impact reporting, coordinate recognition, manage renewal plans, and maintain accurate records in VNA’s CRM.

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional Background: 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, corporate relations, nonprofit fundraising, sponsorship sales, community outreach, or partnership building.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Relationship & Communication Skills: Demonstrated track record of building and sustaining multi-faceted partnerships, delivering persuasive executive presentations, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  

  • Knowledge of North Texas corporate, philanthropic, civic, and faith networks.
  • Experience with employee engagement programs, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and sponsorship sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Raiser’s Edge NXT or Salesforce).
