Manager, Strategy, Enterprise Risk & Investment
Job Purpose
Looking for a motivated, detailed-oriented and driven self-starter to drive corporate strategy projects and provide due diligence and financial modelling support for SMRT’s business units. The role requires close collaboration with senior management and stakeholders from both business units and corporate function departments. The role is also expected to support the ventures team to evaluate mobility start-ups and perform portfolio monitoring and reporting activities. The role will also have exposure to enterprise risk management.
Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy
- Drive corporate strategy projects, including annual workplan and balanced scorecard design and reporting.
- Drive strategic projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency, drive revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support engagement activities with key stakeholders, including external government and private entities.
Enterprise Risk Management
- Facilitate risk deep-dive discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Consolidate and present top risk reports for senior management and board risk committee.
Investments
- Conduct in-depth critical analyses (quantitative/qualitative), business case build-up and financial models to evaluate business and investment opportunities
- Drive and provide due diligence and financial modelling support for transactions such as Merger & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and Tender activities
- Direct involvement in the end-to-end deal execution process for all transactions (industry research and commercial due diligence, financial modelling, review of agreements, deal structuring, risk assessment, valuation analyses and closing)
- Assist in the preparation of reports/presentations capturing key highlights and insights of the transactions
- Monitor and evaluate the business and financial performance post transactions
- Lead in the engagement of ventures portfolio companies, keeping track of financial and operational metrics, as well as other business developments. Provide regular updates to senior management accordingly.

Qualifications & Work Experience
• 4-7 years working experience in corporate finance, investment & research, in-house strategy, corporate development or equivalent function. Candidates from other fields with relevant or transferrable skillsets will also be considered.
• Experience in building robust financial models

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional setup
