Manager - Strategy & Transformation - IIM/ISB/XLRI/FMS/SPJIMR/MDI

Job Description:

- Diagnose & analyse - Structure ambiguous business problems into testable hypotheses, and run the market, industry, competitor, customer, and financial research and analysis needed to reach a clear point of view.

- Assist in developing the strategy roadmap - Define the target state and roadmap, identify and evaluate the strategic paths to get there, and frame board-ready recommendations.

- Model & evaluate - Build financial models and business cases to evaluate businesses, opportunities, and strategic options.

- Turn strategy into action - Convert direction into sequenced initiatives with clear owners, milestones, and metrics, and shape them into a coherent transformation program.

- Drive execution - Stand up and run the transformation / program management office (TMO/PMO) - governance cadence, KPI and RAG dashboards, and risk, benefit, and decision tracking - driving initiatives through to measurable value realisation.

- Special projects and M&A - Drive special projects / strategic initiatives; support opportunity evaluation, due diligence, and post-merger integration.

- Manage stakeholders - Partner with business, finance, and operations leaders, and carry senior stakeholders with clear, evidence-backed thinking.

What we're looking for:

- Structures complex problems and builds original frameworks - rigorous, hypothesis-led, and able to stress-test their own logic.

- Strong financial modelling and hands-on data analysis; advanced Excel and board-quality PowerPoint.

- Turns research and analysis into sharp, decision-ready recommendations and communicates them crisply to senior stakeholders.

- High ownership and bias for action; drives workstreams independently in ambiguous environments.

- Pushes back with data, holds a board-quality bar, and brings genuine intellectual curiosity.

- Credible with senior leaders and strong-willed entrepreneur-CEOs.

Experience & background:

- 2 - 6 years in a top-tier strategy management consulting (with execution or PMO experience), CEO's / founder's office running strategy / business transformation programs, in corporate strategy & PMO.

- Execution and PMO experience is essential - not desktop analysis alone. Track record across corporate/business strategy and delivery.

- Preferably an MBA from a premier institute (top IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, or equivalent); a strong IIT / NIT undergraduate pedigree is valued. CFA or CA considered where paired with relevant execution experience.
