About this role
By joining Carrier’s WHQ Operations the Manager Supplier Quality & Development will as an individual contributor responsible for the execution of Supplier Quality & Development Operational plans and report on Supplier activities and progress to WHQ Leadership and BU Leadership.
This is an onsite role in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the Supplier Quality & Development operational plans
- Lead initiative with a direct impact on driving supplier qualification certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and/or quality issue resolution processes
- Responsible for the implementation of Supplier specific Quality initiative strategies
- Manage processes/standards in support of the Carrier Supplier Gold program , ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
- Add structure and rhythm to help the team drive projects and provide bandwidth on significant project
- Implement Structure and Rhythm to communicate across and Up & Down in the organization
- Provide research on and explanations of root cause analysis & problem solving actions
- Develop corrective/preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by Suppliers
- Conducts audits on processes and procedures for supplier qualification/certification, material release processes, and correction action review with Supplier
- Review processes/metrics and make recommendations to ensure Suppliers are capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance
- Support the Global Supplier Development engineers
- Reports weekly/monthly on Supplier activities and progress to WHQ and BU Leadership
- Perform Monthly Performance Reviews to Audience BU and Functional VP
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt
- 5 years of experience in supplier quality and development
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Bachelor in Engineering
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
