Manager, Technical Solutions & Delivery (Data Centres)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of data centre fit-out and A&A projects from initiation through completion.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Respond to customer technical RFIs and support RFP submissions with accurate cost estimates and solution proposals.
- Develop project master schedules, project charters, and establish governance and delivery processes.
- Identify and engage specialist contractors, consultants, and subject matter experts to support project delivery.
- Provide initial design concepts and technical solutions prior to consultant engagement.
- Translate business requirements into actionable project plans and deliverables.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including capital funding, cost tracking, and cash flow management within approved limits.
- Lead tender processes, including drafting scopes of work (SOW), technical specifications, and contract administration.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and financial status to stakeholders.
- Prepare sourcing recommendations and approval documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data centre redundancy standards, risk mitigation strategies, and operational requirements.
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure adherence to safety (EHS), quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across all project phases.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Sustainability teams to align project requirements.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings to ensure design intent and execution accuracy.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities and escalate issues appropriately when necessary.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of mission-critical M&E systems, including UPS, generators, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes such as FAT, SAT, and IST.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project or construction management, with proven experience in live data centre environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities in English.
- Solid financial acumen with experience in project cost control and budget management.
- Willingness to be site-based and actively monitor on-ground progress while engaging with clients on technical matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous.
