Manager, US Marketing Activation - Portfolio Vehicles & Building Sets
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to drive two very exciting and strategically important areas in the world of Vehicles & Building Sets. The role will report to the Director of NAD Marketing Activation.
- Portfolio Vehicles: Consisting of two owned IP brands with over 150 years of heritage between them, Matchbox and Thomas and Friends, as well as one of Mattel’s most successful licensing partnerships, Disney-Pixar Cars. All three brands have major relaunch and/or content milestones in 2026 and 2027.
- Building Sets: Consisting of two separate and distinct brands, Mega Bloks, a cherished heritage brand in the IPS space and Mattel Brick Shop, an exciting new brand for adult fans which is expanding rapidly.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Manage day-to-day marketing activities, including insights collection and synthesis of performance of brands & products
- Deliver item-level forecasting, tracking, and performance roll-ups to impact marketing strategy and financial planning
- Drive promotional plan and execution by brand and across customers
- Develop your brands by activating key marketing programs in the US market
- Drive the development of US-specific product executions or bundles in collaboration with Toy Marketing for specific priority Retailers, managing P&L and full strategy.
- Manage and coordinate special Marketing Initiatives and events to support strategic priorities
- Drive marketing execution by leading a cross-functional team inclusive of Sales, Toy and Brand Marketing, Omnichannel Retail Marketing, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience (6 with MBA) in consumer or brand marketing
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills – you know how to sell a vision and back it with data and strategic insights
- Advanced understanding of standard marketing techniques
- Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written/verbal, attention to details, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required
- Ability to take conclusions from data and communicate and present actionable insights to leadership and business executives.
- One team mentality and culture builder
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
