Coordinates with Billing & Meter Reading Manager to ensure that delinquent account cut-off, lock and turn-on policies and procedures are being followed and resources are being provided to accomplish departmental goals
Manages and organizes small residential meter testing and repair activities. Manages and oversees employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control. Ensures that subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work. Consults with assigned staff to assist with complex problems/situations and provide technical expertise. Provides progress and activity reports to management
Performs customer service functions while providing information/assistance regarding department services, procedures, documentation, fees, or other issues. Meets with customers, interprets and explains policies and procedures to customers. Manages research to identify correct meter location, locates leaks, and determine account usage and history. Makes corrections to accounts or generates service order to repair meters as necessary.
Coordinates maintenance and repairs for department fleet and equipment, schedules preventive maintenance and repairs with other Consolidated Government departments or vendors as needed. Completes vehicle accident reports and maintains related documentation
Manages supply purchasing for the metering division
Manages security and upkeep of the metering building and premises
Ensures adherence to established safety procedures. Monitors work environment and the use of safety equipment to ensure safety of employees and other individuals. Conducts safety inspections and training as needed. Maintains all related documentation.
Communicates with supervisor, other employees, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
