Manager Value Added Service
About the role
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a manager - value added services (VAS) to partner to lead the evolution of a scalable, multi-vertical payments ecosystem. This position is based in Dubai, UAE.
You will design and scale a plug-and-play VAS layer enabling products across mobility (ride-hailing), lending / microfinance, loyalty & rewards, and airtime & bills to seamlessly consume payment APIs—handling high-concurrency transactions with bank-grade security and compliance.
About the requirements
- Own microservices-based architecture abstracting escrow, settlement & reconciliation
- Lead engineering for multiple high-growth verticals
- Ensure 99.9%+ uptime on AWS (EKS, Aurora, Redis, SQS, Lambda, Terraform)
- Drive event-driven architectures (Kafka/SQS) and AI adoption in engineering
- Lead, hire, and mentor a team of 15+ engineers
About you
- 10+ years in software engineering, 4+ years in senior leadership
- Strong fintech background (compliance, real-time settlement, bookkeeping)
- Experience building marketplace or lending platforms
- Proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust; cloud-native AWS expertise
