Description

Some careers have more impact than others.

If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of MANAGER, WSB PROCESS ENGINEERING.

Principal responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver LSS capability building by coordinating Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Belt training (e.g., aligning curricula, schedules, and target audiences) to strengthen continuous improvement capability in support of HSBC’s strategy.
  • Conduct process discovery at different levels of detail (from high-level value streams to deep-dive process mapping) to build a clear fact base on current ways of working.
  • Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities by analysing pain points, hand-offs, cycle times, rework, and control gaps, translating findings into a structured opportunity backlog.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to agree problem statements, scope, and measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment across teams and minimising delivery friction.

Requirements

  • Strong process improvement foundation: Working knowledge of Lean / Lean Six Sigma tools and concepts (e.g., SIPOC, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, standard work), with the ability to apply them in real business scenarios.
  • Experience in process discovery and analysis: Proven ability to run workshops, capture current-state processes at different levels of detail, identify bottlenecks and waste, and translate findings into clear improvement opportunities.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration: Confidence working with diverse stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and support functions—able to influence, align priorities, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Structured problem-solving and data mindset: Ability to define problems clearly, analyse data and performance drivers, and develop evidence-based recommendations with measurable outcomes and benefits.
  • Communication and facilitation skills: Clear written and verbal communication in a business setting, plus strong workshop facilitation skills to drive engagement and reach decisions efficiently.
  • Delivery focus and accountability: Comfortable managing multiple workstreams, working at pace, and tracking actions, risks, dependencies, and benefits through to implementation.
  • Change and continuous improvement mindset: Curiosity, resilience, and a practical approach to embedding sustainable change—supporting teams to adopt new ways of working.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
