Role Summary

The Managing Director, Forensic Accounting & Litigation Support provides independent, results-driven leadership on complex forensic investigations, economic damages analyses, and litigation support engagements. This role requires strong individual judgment, comfort operating with autonomy, and the ability to rapidly structure ambiguous, contested, or incomplete information into defensible expert conclusions.

The Managing Director serves as a trusted advisor to legal counsel and senior client stakeholders, originates and leads engagements, and operates effectively in adversarial, time-compressed environments where professional credibility, analytical rigor, and resilience under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Independent Forensic & Litigation Problem Solving

• Independently structure and execute forensic accounting investigations, economic damages analyses, and litigation support engagements involving disputed facts and incomplete records
• Translate complex accounting, financial, valuation, and economic information into clear, defensible analyses suitable for reports, deposition, and trial support
• Exercise judgment in defining scope, methodology, assumptions, and documentation under legal scrutiny and evolving case dynamics

Client Advisory & Stakeholder Influence

• Serve as a trusted forensic and litigation advisor to trial counsel, corporate executives, boards, lenders, and other stakeholders
• Influence case strategy and outcomes through analytical clarity, expert reasoning, and professional credibility rather than consensus-driven decision making
• Navigate disagreement and adversarial dynamics constructively while maintaining independence and objectivity

Business Development & Revenue Ownership

• Originate and convert forensic and litigation support engagements through professional reputation, market credibility, and trusted relationships
• Own engagement economics including pricing, realization, billing discipline, and long-term client relationships
• Contribute to the firm’s external market presence within litigation, investigation, and regulatory communities

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead Directors, Associate Directors, and engagement teams on complex, deadline-intensive forensic and litigation matters
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to build judgment capability, expert presence, and analytical rigor
• Identify, develop, and retain high-potential forensic talent while modeling professional standards and accountability

Performance & Risk Management

• Tolerate and manage the professional, reputational, and financial risk inherent in forensic and litigation work
• Balance assertiveness with evidentiary discipline and methodological rigor
• Maintain composure, effectiveness, and decision quality during periods of sustained pressure, scrutiny, and conflict

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

· 10–15+ years of progressive experience in forensic accounting, litigation support, investigations, economic damages, or dispute advisory roles

· Demonstrated success independently leading complex engagements and managing client relationships

· Strong grounding in financial statement analysis, damages modeling, valuation, investigative techniques, and expert reporting

· Executive presence with the ability to influence senior legal and business stakeholders

Preferred Skills

· CPA, CFE, CFA, CFF, CVA, or similar professional credentials

· Prior experience supporting expert testimony or working closely with testifying experts

· Established referral relationships within law firms, regulatory bodies, or investigation communities
