Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
- Monitoring company policies and legal guidelines
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
- Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Read all submitted reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
- Ensure performance appraisal, training and professional development activities

- Further develop and enhance company culture
- Remain close to all stakeholders including the chairman and board members, staff, clients, key-decision makers and external service suppliers
- Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs while maintain quality products that are competitive, all while delivery excellent customer support
- Continuous monitoring of the annual budget and ensure that revenue/sales targets are met
- Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labour legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment
- Preparation of annual reports and attending/presenting at board meetings
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Extensive experience as a managing director or in a similar role (minimum 10 years of experience)
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
- Construction management experiences in overseas project sites.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese for coordination with JGC Yokohama and other Japanese stakeholders
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to excel in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
