What You’ll Do
Provide strategic leadership and direction for assigned operational departments by establishing clear priorities, monitoring departmental performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Lead cross-functional operational initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery while fostering collaboration across departments. Coach, develop, and evaluate direct reports, building leadership capacity and accountability throughout the organization. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for continuous improvement, recommend operational enhancements, and provide regular updates to the Chief Executive Officer regarding departmental performance, organizational risks, and progress toward strategic priorities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This role will serve as the direct supervisor to the Director of Facilities, Director of Athletics, IT Manager, School Security Manager, and Transportation Manager.
Cross-Campus & Interdepartmental Coordination
- Provides strategic coordination across school-based teams and Operations departments by aligning personnel, resources, schedules, and operational services to ensure the successful delivery of school programs, events, and daily campus operations.
School Nutrition
- Oversee school nutrition operations by partnering with School Food Authority (SFA) to ensure annual meal application completion, and on-site Food Service Director to ensure high-quality meal service, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Transportation Services
- Supervise the Transportation Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant transportation services, including oversight of contracted transportation providers, route effectiveness, and operational performance.
Facilities & Custodial Services
- Supervise the Director of Facilities to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments through effective facilities management, preventative maintenance, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational planning.
IT Department Supervision
- Supervise the IT Manager to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology systems and services that support student learning, organizational operations, cybersecurity, and long-term technology planning.
School Safety
- Supervise the School Security Manager to ensure comprehensive school safety systems, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of campus safety through effective protocols, training, drills, and cross-functional collaboration.
School Athletics and After-School Activities Programming
- Supervise the Director of Athletics and Activities to ensure high-quality, compliant, and sustainable athletic and extracurricular programming that promotes student engagement while coordinating operational support across transportation, facilities, health services, and other departments.
Facilities Use & Rentals
- Provide strategic oversight of facilities use and rental processes to ensure efficient scheduling, effective coordination, and equitable access for school, athletic, staff, and community events while maximizing operational efficiency and stewardship of school facilities.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- Signing Bonus: $3,500, with a 1-year commitment
- Annual Salary Range: $92,700 - $110,510 (DOE)
- Full Time; Monday - Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
