About the project
Our client brings together experienced technology and healthcare leaders focused on building impactful, socially-driven digital health solutions. The team has successfully launched multiple innovative products across healthcare and medical technology.
We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience in iOS and Android applications to contribute to a health-tech product involving mobile applications, cloud services, and connected medical devices.
The role focuses on software verification, acceptance testing, and test documentation, ensuring accurate execution of test protocols and reliable validation of releases and hotfixes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive and actively uses AI tools to improve testing efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Strong experience in manual testing of iOS and Android apps, including TestFlight, Google Play internal testing, and multiple devices/OS versions
• Executing step-by-step test protocols and recording results with strong attention to detail, and signing executed protocols as Test Engineer
• Experience updating and maintaining test protocols when features change
• Basic SQL skills for database validation
• Active use of AI tools for test case generation, log analysis, and reporting
• Experience with Jira for bug reporting, fix verification, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test execution and documentation
• Proactive English communication skills for direct stakeholder collaboration

Nice to have

• Experience with medical devices or healthcare applications, including regulated documentation (FDA, DHF)
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and HIPAA basics
• Experience testing BLE-connected devices
• Basic API testing (Postman) and cloud log analysis

Responsibilities

• Execute software verification and acceptance test protocols for iOS and Android releases and hotfixes
• Accurately record test results and sign executed protocols as Test Engineer, confirming execution and documentation only; final approval and release decisions remain with designated approvers
• Maintain and update test protocols as application functionality changes
• Verify bug fixes and document validation results in Jira tickets
• Perform testing across different mobile devices, OS versions, and physical test devices
• Use AI tools to improve test coverage, analysis, and reporting efficiency
• Communicate testing progress, findings, and risks directly to stakeholders

Availability expectations

• Remote, project-based collaboration
• Daily overlap with Pacific Time (PT) business hours until 11 PM for testing coordination and stakeholder communication
• Additional availability may be coordinated during releases, hotfixes, and critical testing activities
