Description

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Audio Hardware Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audio and electrical testing for multiple core projects (excluding wearables such as smartwatches, smart glasses, and earbuds). Your day-to-day work will range from routine performance evaluations and standard compliance testing to developing automation programs, conducting competitor teardowns, and performing hardware rework. We need a flexible problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and can tackle ad-hoc technical challenges head-on.

Key Responsibilities
Audio & Electrical Measurement: Execute PDM/TDM speaker electrical measurements using Audio Precision (AP) for core platforms (including BB & Condor projects).
Compliance & Safety Testing: Independently conduct EN50332-1~3 standard testing to ensure acoustic safety and compliance. (familar with Audio Precision and sound check measurement skillsets is better)
System & Functionality Validation: Perform GRT/ART testing. Collaborate closely with software development and cross-functional teams (e.g., FTE) to troubleshoot and repair system issues, particularly in tuning and fixing "Hot Word" functionalities when software is in early or incomplete stages. (be able to do the playback and recording performance measurement and maintain the test script for different cases)
Performance & EVK Evaluation: Conduct system efficiency measurements and Evaluation Kit (EVK) electrical validations (handling varying volumes of EVK assessments based on project needs).
Automation & Ad-Hoc Projects: Manage sudden requests, which include performing competitor device teardowns, developing automation programs to control Keysight oscilloscopes, and setting up automated testing for competitor devices.
Hardware Rework & Soldering: Perform precision soldering and PCB rework. Independently modify circuit boards and debug hardware components as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
Proven hands-on experience in hardware testing, audio measurement, or acoustic engineering.
Proficiency in operating Audio Precision (AP) analyzers and Keysight oscilloscopes.
Solid understanding of audio interfaces (such as PDM and TDM) and familiarity with EN50332 acoustic safety standards.
Excellent soldering skills with hands-on experience in PCB rework and SMD component modification.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the agility to manage both structured validation plans and sudden ad-hoc testing requests in a fast-paced environment.
