Manual QA Engineer
Compensation: $93k – $114k • No equity
We are looking for an independent Technical Reviewer whose sole job is to test features and bug fixes built by our developers and report a clear PASS or FAIL.
This is not a developer role. You will never write code, push to main, or manage automated test pipelines. You are our independent line of defense to ensure what gets shipped actually works in the live product for real users.
Responsibilities
Independently verify developer claims, fixes, and updates in production/staging environments.
Perform black-box functional testing, boundary checks, and real-world user flow validation.
File clear, definitive Pass/Fail reports with actionable step-by-step reproduction notes when things fail.
Contract Terms & Non-Negotiables
Read-Only Access: You will have read-only access to testing environments. Never any code or production write access.
Strict Independence: You must have no prior working relationship with our current engineering team. Independent means independent.
Legal: Signed NDA and individual IP Assignment required prior to start.
Paid Trial: All candidates complete a mandatory 3-hour paid trial task prior to an ongoing agreement (paid regardless of whether we move forward).
