Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in testing web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and Agile development practices.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, usability, and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manual Testing

• Design, review, and execute test cases based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Conduct UI/UX testing and cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Test web and mobile applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
• Validate website layouts and designs against Figma or PSD designs.
• Perform responsive testing across different screen sizes and resolutions.

2. Test Case Design and Documentation

• Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.
• Ensure adequate test coverage based on project requirements.
• Maintain testing documentation and requirement traceability.
• Report test results and communicate quality-related risks to the team.

3. Defect Management

• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira, Bugzilla, or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, clarify requirements, and verify fixes.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after defect resolution.
• Assist in root cause analysis of critical defects.

4. Agile Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with developers, designers, business analysts, and product managers.
• Ensure testing activities are completed within sprint timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and product quality.

5. User Acceptance and Release Testing

• Assist in preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate features against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform smoke and regression testing before releases.
• Support release validation to ensure application stability and readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing, preferably with web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in preparing test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
• Experience using defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of UI/UX testing, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and report defects clearly.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, API testing, or programming languages such as Java or Python is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing responsive websites and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools.
• Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic knowledge of database validation using SQL.
• Experience validating UI designs against Figma or PSD files.
