About the Role
Reporting to the CTO, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Tester, to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and usability of our software applications through systematic testing and close collaboration with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be at either a junior or mid-level position with experience in manual software testing, enjoys investigating issues and is comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating product functionality, identifying defects and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Review and understand product requirements, user stories, use cases and functional specifications
- Design, document, and execute test cases, test scenarios and test plans
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, exploratory and smoke testing activities
- Validate software functionality across web and/or mobile applications
Defect Management
- Identify, document and report defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Track defects through resolution using tools such as JIRA and XRAY
- Retest resolved issues and verify fixes before release
Quality Assurance
- Ensure product releases meet quality standards and business requirements
- Maintain test documentation and contribute to improving test coverage
- Support the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies and testing tools
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts and designers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement and retrospectives
- Help clarify requirements and identify potential risks early in the development lifecycle
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
- Provide feedback on usability, functionality and overall product quality
- Stay up to date with QA best practices and emerging testing tools and techniques
The ideal candidate
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manual software testing
- Good understanding of QA methodologies, tools and testing processes
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
- Ability to create clear and concise bug reports and test documentation
- Experience with collaboration and tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, XRAY or similar
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (minimum B2 level)
Desirable:
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or SQL
- Exposure to test automation concepts and tools, ideally Cypress
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent certification
- Experience working within FinTech, SaaS, or enterprise software environments
