Manual Software Tester

One North, a Singapore based firm specializing in providing Technology Solutions is currently hiring Manual Software Testers.

As part of this dynamicrole, you will report to the Head of Customer Experience; and work closely withbusiness units and other IT teams to test automation solutions for Prudential Singapore.The aim is to maintain superior performance, knowledge management, and operatein sustainable and scalable way.

Job Description:

Quality Engineering related:

• Support the prompt deliveryand implementation of strategic initiatives and BAU enhancements requested bythe business.
• Participate in discussionswith the development, business, and testing teams
• Discuss with the Developer,Business Analyst and Business teams to understand the enhancements that are tobe delivered.
• Bridge the gap betweenbusiness requirements and user acceptance tests
• Responsible for using testautomation tools like Selenium, Appium, JMeter and Karate
• Track the outstandingdefects and work with delivery team in resolving the tickets promptly andwithin the agreed timeline
• Proactively seek to makecontinuous improvement to test coverage and execution
• Actively participate inscrum activities and meeting discussion, for example sprint planning, daily stand-up,and retrospective.
• Prepare testing statusreport and work closely with business users.

General administration &support:

• Support in vendor managementas per Procurement & HR protocols and procedures for QE resources includingrecruitment, onboarding and offboarding, invoicing administration.
• Provide overall departmentsupport for governance and communication

Improving QE function inPrudential

• Monitoring of performance,KPI management and support quality reviews
• Support improvementinitiatives to continuously improve capabilities, productivity, and efficiencyof the Quality Engineering function.
• Support of knowledgemanagement to facilitate sharing knowledge
• Implement QE standards andprocesses across the division
• Support the cultural switchfrom Waterfall SDLC to Agile

Education and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is preferred
