Manual Tester

Salary: ₱80,000 – ₱90,000 per month

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with at least 8 years of professional experience in Manual Software Testing, preferably within the banking and financial services industry.

The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in test planning, test case development, test execution, defect management, and quality assurance processes. Experience in Core Banking Systems, Software Testing Tools, and Agile Methodologies is essential.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other QA professionals to ensure that banking applications and system enhancements meet business requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end manual testing of banking applications, core banking systems, and related software solutions.

• Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.

• Validate core banking functionalities, transactions, workflows, and system integrations.

• Identify, document, track, and manage software defects using established defect management tools.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and technical teams to investigate and resolve reported issues.

• Perform test result analysis and ensure defects are properly addressed before deployment.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to identify potential testing scenarios.

• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test execution summaries.

• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, production validation, and post-implementation testing.

• Ensure compliance with established software quality standards and testing procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience in Manual Software Testing or Quality Assurance (QA).

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of enterprise applications and software systems.

• Proven experience or strong familiarity with Core Banking Systems, banking applications, and financial services solutions.

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Experience in functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, system testing, and UAT.

• Hands-on experience with software testing and defect management tools such as:

  • Jira

  • HP ALM / Quality Center

  • Azure DevOps

  • TestRail

  • Zephyr

  • Bugzilla

• At least 8 years of experience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum.

• Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

• Knowledge of defect lifecycle management, test documentation, and QA reporting.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.

Project-based arrangement (6mos - 1yr contract; with extensions/absorption)
