In the U.S., HI-LEX operates under three divisions: HI-LEX America in Battle Creek, Michigan; HI-LEX Controls in Hudson, Litchfield, and Hazel Park, Michigan; and Daedong HI-LEX of America in Cusseta, Alabama. The company’s automotive center is in Rochester Hills, Michigan which consists of finance, sales, engineering, testing, and program management.
Position Summary
Performs duties to assemble and test the various models in a safe manner in accordance with quality requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and perform work in a safe manner.
- Execute assembly operations by attaching components in the specified sequence.
- Precisely align, fit, and secure components using manual operations and appropriate fastening techniques at the workbench.
- Ensure that all component parts used are correct for the specific product being assembled.
- Conduct all required quality checks on component parts and finished assemblies at the workstation.
- Sort and rework components on the assembly line or in other designated areas to maintain quality standards.
- Manage material flow by moving parts from storage locations (e.g., containers on the floor) to the containers in the immediate work area.
- Rotate through all assigned assembly stations as required by the company.
- Provide assistance to all other operators on the line.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, complying with all safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
